The new cd, Ragpickers, is almost done!! It contains lots of original electric and acoustic blues and urban folk tunes...and it sounds great. It features Dan Weber on drums, Tige DeCoster on bass, Hugh Sutton on keyboards, and we even got the tasty Sean Divine to blow some harmonica on one song.

we are having a blast in alaska playing 8 nights at kito's cave in petersburg with tige decoster on bass and olli klomp through sept 5th and had a great kids show at the local library too.

paul flys to fairbanks for a solo show at the college coffeehouse monday sept 5th, and takes a train south to denali for a friday sept 9th show at the 49th state in healy, sat sept 10th at the salmon bake in denali, and back again sunday at the 49th state.

we are getting out in the woods, seeing bears and cubs and catching salmon on the bay, yeehaw!!

I refuse to believe that summer is over and head to Pt. Townsend this Friday Sept 10th to enjoy the fianl days of summer and rock it with the Jellyrollers at Sirens Sept. 10th, friday night. The Jellyrollers are the best blues band in the northwest and my great friends, and we will be jamming blues and lots of my songs also.

And, its the wooden boat festival, fun fun fun!

Got some nice shows coming up, including Sept, 23rd solo at crossroads mall, Sept 24th solo at the skylark in West Seattle, and Sept 25, Saturday night at Conor Byrne in Ballard with the trio.

After playing about 50 shows in the last 6 weeks Chandler and I are closing up the tour in Santa Cruz tonight at the live oak grange hall at 8pm and a house concert saturday night in los altos. I will be performing at the High Sierra Music Festival this weekend, July 1st-4th with Chris Chandler on several stages. We play saturday morning on the big meadow stage, again on sunday morning for the gospel brunch, and that night for a songwriter showcase with the amazing folkster Dan Bern. I will be playing a kids show sometime too and just pressed the new kids cd zibbi dibbi doo zibbi wah zibbi doo wah doo!

After the fest Chris and I play in Truckee on Monday at the Book and Bean and make our way up to the Oregon Country Fair for a few shows.

Hi, thanks for stopping by. This is my first attempt at a blog, and this is still in its infancy.

First off, WHY A BLOG?

I have started this blog for a number of reasons:

Because many of my friends, fellow musicians, and fans have asked me on many occasions: "do you have a blog we can follow?"
I travel 10 months out of the year and this will be a great way to stay connected with all my friends around the globe.
This is a great way to get immediate feedback from my fans and keep them abreast of my latest projects and tours.
